The Grands Letter (GLJ)
Gene L. Jeffries, Th.D. on August 13, 2016 7:23 am (CST)Dear Grands,
Haggai 2:12-13, โ’If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment,
and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food,
will it become holy?’ And the priests answered, โNo.โ”
13 โThen Haggai said, โIf one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these,
will the latter become unclean?โ And the priests answered, โIt will become unclean.โ”
The simple principle that emerges from these two verses is: Righteousness is
not contagious; unrighteousness is. A New Testament parallel is I Corinthians
15:33, โDo not be deceived: โBad company corrupts good morals.โ”
One good apple mixed in with a bag of rotten apples does not make the rotten
apples good; but, one rotten apple mixed in with a bag of good apples will soon
make the good apples rotten. Lesson: watch out who you run and hang out with!
Praying you will stay sweet and always in the Word,
Nana & Dado III
