Dear Grands,

Mark 6:16, “But when Herod heard of it, he kept saying, ‘John, whom I beheaded, has risen!’”

There was a lot of confusion among the people regarding who Jesus was.

Some said He was Elijah, some said John the Baptist. But Herod the King

had already executed John! Now, Herod’s mind became fixated on John,

and he kept saying, “John, whom I beheaded, has risen (from the dead).”

John had not risen, but Herod’s conscience was bothering him for what

he had done to John. Did you ever have something like that happen to you?

You’ve done or said something you shouldn’t have, and it bothers you,

although maybe no one knows. Conscience is the little device the LORD

has placed in all of us. Then, when we trust Jesus, He give us the Holy

Spirit. And the Spirit magnifies the conscience and we have BIG trouble!

Better not to do or say anything that’s not led by the Spirit. That keeps

The conscience “clean.”

All our love (and with clear consciences),
