Dear Grands,

2 Corinthians 12:7-9, “And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me– to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I entreated the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”

It is my studied belief that Paul himself was the man to whom he referred as having

been “caught up to Paradise.” He could have been so proud! And he was tempted

to be just that; therefore, the LORD allowed Satan to affect his eyesight –at least,

that is what I believe. Paul prayed earnestly that the LORD would relieve him of this

impediment, but the LORD said that His grace was all Paul needed. Further, the LORD

added, “for (His) power is perfected in weakness.” Does that sound strange? It does

indeed.

You may have heard me tell about Al Blumell, a German friend we had in Australia. Al

was led to faith in Christ by a woman who stuttered. Imagine! Her speech was impeded,

but the LORD’s power was not. In fact, His power was perfected in her weakness.

Whatever the LORD accomplishes through us (weaknesses and all), is HIS achievement!

We should never be proud, as if it were our doing. It never is! He just chooses to use

us (weaknesses and all) to bring glory to Himself. ~ God bless you as you allow Him to

use you!

We love and cherish each one of you,
