Dear Grands,

Proverbs 15:15, “All the days of the afflicted are bad,

But a cheerful heart has a continual feast.”

We all have bad days, days when everything seems to go

wrong. It may be sickness; maybe someone’s comment

has brought disappointment into our lives. What are we

to do? Just be cheerful! Let the LORD change your heart.

That is possible! Give it a try!!!

Love you gobs,

Dear Grands,

Romans 8:38-39, ”For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,

nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other

created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:28 is the verse that is generally quoted with respect to the assurance of salvation;

however, the verses above are an enlargement on verse 28. This is iron-clad assurance! He

even allows that he might have omitted naming some foe that would deny us this assurance,

so he adds, “…nor any other created thing.” In sum, “once saved, always saved” is his message!

I might also add that the Greek word for “saved” (???? sodzo) also translates “keeps.” Thus,

we have full and complete irrefutable assurance that His salvation is forever!

We love you with an undying love,

Dear Grands,

Romans 5:1-5. “Therefore, having been justified by faith,

we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by

faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope

of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in

our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance;

4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;

5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been

poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

The word exult means to boast or glory in something. Here it means

whatever occurs in life, we glory in the hope that we have in Jesus.

Perseverance is being patient while waiting, and it produces character.

Hope in Scripture never means something like, “I sure hope so…”;

rather hope is always future certainty.

God bless you all; we love you,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 113:1-4, “Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD,

Praise the name of the LORD. 2 Blessed be the name of the LORD

From this time forth and forever. 3 From the rising of the sun to its setting,

the name of the LORD is to be praised. 4 The LORD is high above all nations;

His glory is above the heavens.”

Just as we like to have nice things said to us, our LORD loves to hear

His children pray and praise Him! Of course, His praise smothers all

facets of any praise we might receive.

What a GREAT NIGHT last night was! We are so proud of all of you!

Yet, we are exceedingly thankful that each of you knows the LORD

And endeavors to “show forth to the praise of His glory” (Eph. 1:12).

Love you all and always,

Nana & Dado III

Dear Grands,

Psalm 103:2-5, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;

3 Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;

4 Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

5 Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.”

As we race through life, we all too often forget how much the LORD loves and cares

for us. The Psalmist here reminds us of five gracious benefits the LORD bestows upon

us. Whenever we tend to be discouraged, we should look to all He has done for us.

“The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad” (Psa. 126:3).

Love always in Christ,

Nana & Dado III
