Dear Grands,

1 Peter 1:13-15, “Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit,

fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of

Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts

which were yours in your ignorance, 15 but like the Holy One who called you,

be holy yourselves also in all your behavior…”

The human mind controls all that we think and do; therefore, it is vital that

we keep our minds centered on Christ and His will for us.

Love you all –enormously,

Dear Grands,

James 1:5, “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God,

who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

The little word “if” sets forth what is called a “first class condition,”

meaning “and it is true.” So, there are none of us who possess all the

wisdom of which James speaks. We need to ask God for it; and He

guarantees He will give what we ask. How’s that for generosity?

Lovingly yours,

Nana & Dado III

Dear Grands,

Proverbs 4:5-7, “Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!

Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

6 “Do not forsake her, and she will guard you; Love her, and

she will watch over you. 7 “The beginning of wisdom is:

Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding.”

The only wisdom worthy of acquisition is that which is of God.

Love you all abundantly,

Dear Grands,

James 1:19-20, “This you know, my beloved brethren.

But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;

20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.”

I am learning these principles too late in life. Practice them daily,

for they will both glorify our LORD and richly benefit you.

Love you all abundantly,

Dear Grands,

Matthew 21:22, “’And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.’”

Look carefully at this promise. It is unrestricted, except that we

should ask and believe.

Pray for Robby as he returns today from Texas. The weather

hindered his flight home yesterday.

Love you all,
