The Grands Letter

Dear Grands,

Revelation 4:11, “’Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory

and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will

they existed, and were created.’”

“His will” bespeaks His Authority; and His Authority bespeaks His will.

There is none greater or wiser or more loving. We are His and He is ours!

May His love and wisdom work through us to others for His glory.

Dear Grands,

Jude 1:21-23, “…keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously

for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22 And have mercy

on some, who are doubting; 23 save others, snatching them out of the fire;

and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.”

Dear Grands,

1 John 5:12-15, “He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you

have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will,

He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we

have asked from Him.”

John wrote this epistle in order to give us confidence that we have eternal life,

and that because we have eternal life, we can believe that He will give us what

we ask of Him in prayer. Thus, all prayers are answered, “Yes,” “No,” or “Wait.”

His time is not our time, and His time is always best. So, let us be patient.

Dear Grands,

1 John 1:9-10, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make

Him a liar and His word is not in us.”

We all sin daily in the things that we do and in the things we do not do.

Remember that the Apostle John was writing this to true believers, and

that includes us.

2 Peter 1:5-8, “Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence,

in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence,

knowledge, 6 and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control,

perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, 7 and in your godliness,

brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if these qualities

are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the

true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
