Dear Grands,

Mark 13:3-33, “As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately,
4 ‘Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?”
5 And Jesus began to say to them, ‘See to it that no one misleads you.
6 ‘Many will come in My name, saying, “I am He” and will mislead many.
7 “When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end.
8 “For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
9 “But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.
10 “The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. ‘Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
31 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
32 “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.
33 “Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.”

The home in which I grew up was a home of many surprises! Birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, –all of these events were filled with some kind of surprise. My sister and I could usually wangle something out of our Dad, but never out of our Mother!

Four of Jesus’ disciples had questions about things to come. They were like small children, asking about things they did not know. Jesus was cautious giving His answers, but He warned that there were people that could easily mislead them, so He clearly warned them, lest they be misled.

“Many,” He said, “will come in My name.” Some will pretend to be Me, and many will believe and follow them. Subsequently, Jesus revealed that there would be numerous wars among the nations of the Earth. Those who believe upon Him will be summoned before legal authorities and grossly mistreated simply because they are His disciples. Jesus’ watchword, therefore, was: “Be on your guard!”

Currently, we have opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus with just about anyone; but as antagonists to the Gospel become bolder, it will be a risk for us to share Jesus. How long has it been since you shared Jesus with someone? Even a small Gospel tract can start a conversation.

Be spiritually and mentally alert! There is no time to lose. People die; and those who die without Jesus, will spend eternity separated from Him! Due diligence says: Tell others about Him today! God bless you! You are in my prayers.

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

(Dado III)
