Dear Grands,

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore, comfort one another with these words.”

When I’m alone and reading, I often have some classical music in the
background to sort of “fill in” the silent space that surrounds me.

Recently, having activated some background sound, I was literally stunned to hear the voice of Dr. David Jeremiah say, “There is credible evidence that the Rapture of the Church will occur in the year 2024!”

I have heard Dr. Jeremiah sufficiently often to know that we agree on
the circumstances regarding the Rapture of born-again believers. What stunned me was his thought that there was evidence it could occur in 2024!

I laid aside the book I was reading and listened intently to his warning.
Have you ever seriously thought that Jesus could return to earth in your
lifetime? The Apostle Paul, human author of the Thessalonian epistle,
emphasized the personal, physical return of the LORD Jesus Christ, but
never specified a timeframe for His return.

Many readers of this Letter doubtlessly have Christian family members and friends, who have trusted Christ as their Savior. Some have previously died. Paul says that no believer, dead or alive, will be ahead of any other. There will be a shout of the voice the archangel and the sound of the trumpet of God, and every believer. living or dead will be raised to
meet the LORD Jesus in the air!

There is little that can be added to what has already been said, except that the key to meeting Christ Jesus, in the air depends solely on whether you have trusted Him as your LORD and Savior.

It’s not baptism or church membership that constitutes one a “Christian”; nor is it how nice and beneficent one has been toward others in this
current life. It all depends on whether you have confessed your sins to
Christ Jesus in prayer and believed on Him for forgiveness. If you have, you’re a Christian; if you haven’t, you’re not. That’s biblical truth!

Nothing else will truly matter at that time. I’m praying for you.

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

(Dado III)
