The Grands Letter

Dear Grands,

2 Thessalonians 2:1-8, “Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,

2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming…”

If you’ve listened attentively to some truly reliable preachers and teachers, you could not have helped but notice how many messages relate to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. True biblical preachers believe that the times are right for our LORD’s return! So do I! At the same time, we are not to be frightened, but excited that we are nearing the time when we will meet our Savior face-to-face! I sincerely trust that you are ready.

At the same time, don’t be deceived by false preachers and teachers. Some of them would have you believe they are the only true messengers of God, while they clearly deny the LORD’s teachings in Scripture. “The mystery of lawlessness is already at work!” Satan is using these false witnesses to confuse people! There are many who oppose the LORD and scramble His Word. Don’t be deceived! Be vigilant! Trust the Scriptures! The LORD is coming! Be prepared!

At the same time, there are young believers who sense that something is happening, and they have friends who need to know Him! You and I, who know Him, have been saved that we might share Him with others. Pray for your pastor and all those who teach His Word in truth! The day is coming! May we all be ready! God bless you!
