Dear Grands,

John 14:1-12, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
4 “And you know the way where I am going.”
5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father ‘?
10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
11 “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.”

Conservative theologians are in solid agreement that the next spectacular event
that will come to pass is the Rapture of the Church. Absolutely nothing stands
between where we are now and the Rapture. There are several exciting events
that will emerge following the Rapture, but nothing appears on the Biblical agenda
between today and the Rapture!

With that in mind, I have elected to share a small schematic below that will give you
an introduction that many theologians believe it will all take place. Just bear in mind
that the LORD alone knows exactly how it will all fall out. Schematics, like the one
below, go back many (sometimes hundreds of) years as they follow the Scriptures.

One exciting factor that comes before the Rapture is that the Father has given us the
opportunity to share the LORD Jesus with others. You can easily forward these
GRANDS LETTERS to others, as the LORD leads you. It will be a “wake-up!” call to
some; to others, it will be something new. We all just need to be ready because when
the Rapture takes place, it will be too late for those who have not trusted Jesus Christ.
Prayer and witnessing must be our theme! May God bless you abundantly!

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 119:1-15, “How blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 How blessed are those who observe His testimonies, who seek Him with all their heart.
3 They also do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways.
4 You have ordained Your precepts, that we should keep them diligently.
5 Oh that my ways may be established to keep Your statutes!
6 Then I shall not be ashamed when I look upon all Your commandments.
7 I shall give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, when I learn
Your righteous judgments.”
8 I shall keep Your statutes; Do not forsake me utterly!”
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according
to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have told of all the ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways.”

It would seem to be the normal characteristic of most people to plead “blameless” when confronted and charged with a breach of the law. However, if the truth be told, most of those charged are true violators.

The psalmist’s cry is that those who “walk in the law of the LORD” are guiltless. They live by the LORD’s precepts contained in the Holy Scriptures. Further, it is the LORD’s will that we all diligently keep his laws.

The psalmist anticipates the day when all mankind will stand before the LORD and give account of every thought and action that was contrary to His divine will. The guilty will stand in shame! Those who have obeyed, will be rewarded for their obedience.

The psalmist also allows that he will “keep (the LORD’s) statutes.” How
about you? Are you walking in the way of the LORD? Are you tuned into His will for your life? Have you determined to keep your way pure before Him? His Word is the key to living in the purity of life.

There is so much to be gained by being obedient! There is very much to be lost through disobedience! Therefore, it is to our advantage to forsake the wrong paths and follow those that are right.

Our natural bent is away from the LORD; yet, we can become what He wills us to be, if we follow the clear teaching of His Word. How do we do that? We meditate slowly and daily on His precepts and then follow His commands. Endeavor to do it this week, and just see how different life can be!

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 119:30-36, “I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your ordinances before me.
31 I cling to Your testimonies; O LORD, do not put me to shame!
32 I shall run the way of Your commandments, for You will enlarge my heart.
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your statutes, and I shall observe it to the end.
34 Give me understanding, that I may observe Your law and keep it with all my heart.
35 Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it.
36 Incline my heart to Your testimonies and not to dishonest gain.”

If ever there were a time when we need to heed the Word of God, it is today! The psalmist says, “I have chosen the faithful way…” He then thoughtfully links what he is about to say with truths that are contained in the Word of God!

Are we like that today? Are honesty, truthfulness and absolute integrity our way today? Are our leaders believably honest men and women?
If our observations are honest, we must admit that much of what we hear and observe falls far short of even the flimsiest definition of “truth.”
I observe attorneys and members of the clergy, both of whom should
know what it means to tell the truth, openly lie, and so blatantly, that they embrace as “true” the numerous untruths which they themselves then perpetrate upon others.

Whatever happened to truly honest men and women? I’ve had friends
upon whom I could always count to tell the truth, although fewer now than earlier in life. Still, I praise the LORD for the truthful friends I have. At the same time, I myself have the responsibility to be truthful to all with whom I engage in spiritual and generaal discussions.

We need to regularly examine ourselves, like when we brush our teeth. Do we always tell the truth? Do we clearly understand that lying or “skirting” the truth is sin? Do we not know that Christ died on the cross for what we erroneously call “little sins”?

We need to chose the faithful way, the honest way –the only way that pleases Jesus! Funny thing, when we please Him, we find ourselves
pleasing others and ourselves as well.

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

Dear Grands,

Romans 13:1-4, “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.
3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same;
4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.”

Listen and read that first verse one more time: “Every person is to be
in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority
except from God, and those which exist are established by God.”

There is no exception! Governors, Kings, Congressmen, Senators, Presidents -there is no authority that exceeds the authority of Allmighty God! Yet, listen to
all who perceive that they (and they alone) are in charge!

The LORD –and He alone— is in charge! Everything good has come from His hand; thus, everything falls under His purview! Let those who challenge the
LORD beware! Read again verses 3 and 4 above. He holds a sword that has
always succeeded in opposing evil; and He praises those who do good toward
one’s fellowman.

We all will do well to evaluate our thoughts and overt statements every day.
As my dear old saintly grandmother used to say, “You’ll give an account for
every idle word.” You know, it just occurred to me that our entire world system
would be better if we followed “Mimi’s” thought; for in a surer sense, we are
each, in our own right, “a minister of God.” That is, when we’ve trusted Him
and committed our lives to Him. I have, and I pray that you have, too!

Heartily in Christ Jesus,

There was a lot being said in the days just passed concerning the origin
of our United States. Liberal political thinkers (an oxymoron, if ever there
was one!) both in and outside of Congress, seem to believe that this
United States of America was founded on political and/or financial
foundations. They completely ignore the spiritual.

It is true that not all of our founding fathers were truly, born-again
Christians. But, it is true that the majority were –not because I or anyone
else wants them to have been, but because, by their own words, they
were!

Further, the sessions of those early meetings were opened and closed
with prayer. Thanksgiving originated from those settlers –a holiday we continue to observe today. Further, one of the earliest common-use buildings to have been erected was a protestant meeting house!

Now, some residents, both inside and outside of Congress want to erase and eradicate Thanksgiving altogether. Name another country
other than Israel that looks to the Lord for its origin! Further, those who would erase Thanksgiving, will soon seek to erase God and Christ Jesus from history altogether!

The Apostle Paul encourages all believers to “Do what is good and
you will have praise…” from the very Authority that some would deny
you possess. How can that be? Trust Him and see; for truth is a sure and constant minister from God.

Heartily in Christ Jesus,
