Dear Grands,

Psalm 32:1-8, “How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!

2 How blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit!

3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer. Selah.

5 I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I did not hide; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD’; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah.

6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him.

7 You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”

How blessed it is to know that we are cared for by His almighty Hand! How free we feel within ourselves when our sin is forgiven. How thankful we are to know that the One who could crush us, instead forgives us and strengthens us in His love.

Sin drains us of our self-worth; He refreshes us! Yes, it is our privilege to reciprocate in thanks for all that He has done. He forgives our sin and covers us with His love and blessings! Yes, we deeply appreciate the kindness shown to us by our loving Christian friends; yet, nothing compares with His comfort and watch care. We owe everything to Him!

It is true that He often delays blessing us; and we are tempted to believe He has forgotten. Yet, it is for our benefit His actions are delayed. In time, we learn the value of that delay. Further, the songs He sings to us and places in our hearts are those melodies that calm the wild beast! We are so blessed! How can we not love and praise Him in the presence of others!

Let’s give thought this week as to how we can share His love with others –even those who have yet to understand the power of love. They may initially be surprised; but it will give them warmth when they have learned love’s value. Yet, it has come from Him, not a particle from us!

Heartily in Christ,
