Dear Grands,

Psalm 118:8, “It is better to take refuge in the LORD Than to trust in man.”

Interestingly enough, this is the central verse of the Bible. Were you to

start counting verses from Genesis 1:1 and from Revelation 22:21, you

would arrive at our verse for today. When storms come, we take refuge

in the safest place we can find. When the storms of life come, there is

no place safer than in Jesus. Always trust Him to protect you.

We love you bunches and bunches,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 116:1-2, “I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications.

2 Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.”

Loving the LORD because of what He does is not the only reason to love Him.

But it is an excellent reason nevertheless. Just imagine: The Creator of the

entire universe (thousands of galaxies!) actually listens to us when we pray!

I have had some notably important people respond to my emails; yet none

of them compare to the LORD! Make prayer a priority in your life!

Love abundant to you all,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 109:30-31, “With my mouth I will give thanks abundantly to the LORD;

And in the midst of many I will praise Him.

31 For He stands at the right hand of the needy,

To save him from those who judge his soul.”

We ought always to give thanks to the LORD.

He alone possesses the strength we need to

prevail in these difficult times. Others may

judge us unjustly, but He saves us from out

of their hands.

We love you abundantly! And you are always

In our prayers.

Dear Grands,

Psalm 103:19-22, “The LORD has established His throne in the heavens,

And His sovereignty rules over all. 20 Bless the LORD, you His angels,

Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!

21 Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will.

22 Bless the LORD, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion;

Bless the LORD, O my soul!”

Written as if specifically for us, the Psalmist pours out his heart in

blessing the LORD his God! What has the LORD done for the Psalmist

that He has not done for us? What does He expect of the Psalmist

that He does not expect from us? All that we are and have He has

given us that we might “show forth to the praise of His glory” (Eph. 1:12).

Let His Light shine through you today,

Dear Grands,

Psalm 94:17-19, “If the LORD had not been my help,

My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.

18 If I should say, ‘My foot has slipped,’ Your lovingkindness,

O LORD, will hold me up. 19 When my anxious thoughts multiply

within me, Your consolations delight my soul.”

We are more dependent upon the mercy and graciousness

of our LORD than we often recognize. The LORD wants to

help those who are His! When we do wrong (“My foot has

slipped”), He lifts us up. When the troubling events of life

give us anxiety, His Word eases our hearts. Just always

trust the LORD. He will deliver us in His own time.

We love you so much!
